Laica unveils GlaSSmart water filter bottle

Laica has unveiled its instant filtration water bottle, GlaSSmart, in support of Plastic Free July, which encourages people to be part of the solution to plastic pollution.

GlaSSmart combines design with the innovative Fast Disk instant filtration technology, helping consumers take a few simple steps to hydrate. The bottle can be filled directly from the tap and then filters the water as it’s poured. The Fast Disk filter uses natural carbon microfilament technology to improve the taste of water, reducing chlorine while preserving the minerals naturally found in tap water.

The safe, reusable and durable 1.1 litre glass bottle, which is made in Italy, is a strong sustainable choice, with each filter lasting up to 120 litres, or one month of use. The bottle is dishwasher safe, the hygienic anti-odour cap and filter are BPA free and include a manual filter indicator.

Laica’s commitment to promoting environmental sustainability was further highlighted at the Milano Design Week when GlaSSmart was central to the Interior Design Re-Generation exhibition.

Matthew Dealtry, sales director EMEA of Strix Group, parent company of Laica, commented: “With a global drive to reduce plastic waste, products such as GlaSSmart and MyLAICA are really useful to ensure people can access filtered water, that tastes good, whenever and wherever they need it. The products have been really well received and we believe this is the perfect time to introduce them to the UK market.”
