Lifetime Brands acquires S’well

Lifetime Brands has acquired S’well Bottle (Can’t Live Without It), renowned for pioneering the reusable vacuum-insulated hydration bottle as a fashion accessory.

Founded in 2010 and based in Manhattan, New York, S’well sells its hydration and food storage products globally via omnichannel retail partners, speciality stores, co-branded partnership opportunities, and its own direct-to-consumer website.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome the S’well brand to our portfolio,” comments Rob Kay, Lifetime Brand’s chief executive officer, “S’well originated the category of sustainable hydration products and has consistently been a design, feature and product innovator. The brand is a perfect fit for our growing and successful hydration and storage categories, where we have already made great progress growing our BUILT brand.”

Describing S’well as a “highly complementary addition to our portfolio,” Rob also acknowledged: “S’well’s recognition as a leader in sustainability helps reinforce our commitment in this important area.”

Founder of S’well Sarah Kauss will oversee the transition to Lifetime Brands and continue in an advisory role. “I’m so proud of what S’well has accomplished over the years,” she reflected. “We created a movement around reusables, helped displace more than four billion single-use plastic bottles and touched millions of lives. With this transition into the Lifetime family, the S’well brand will continue to deliver beautiful, innovative products while being a force for good.”
