Lifetime Brands announces new directors

Lifetime Brands Europe’s board has made several new director appointments, promoting key members of the executive team to support the delivery of the company’s ambitious growth plans.

The new directors include David Titterington and Sharon Harris, who have gained strong reputations for high performance, relationship building and team leadership when heading up Lifetime Brands Europe’s UK and EMEA sales channels. David has been promoted to the position of UK sales director – overseeing development of the businesses UK national, independent and food service partners – while Sharon is now EMEA sales director, driving business in key export markets.

Meanwhile Gary Porter has been appointed as business development director, responsible on a global basis for exploring strategic opportunities to support the Lifetime Brands global business development strategy.

Jonathan Forrester-Cliffe has moved into the role of ecommerce director and will continue to play a key role in meeting the company’s growth goals. As retailers continue to place more importance on omnichannel strategies, the role is also paramount to supporting the company’s partners.

“These new appointments reflect the increased opportunities we are creating as we develop and grow,” states Matthew Canwell, managing director of Lifetime Brands. “Just this year we have launched over a hundred new products including within our MasterClass, La Cafetière and KitchenAid brands. We remain committed to effective teamwork being the key to our ongoing success, supported by an ethos of openness and collaboration. The incredibly strong knowledge and experience of these four colleagues will be vital as our business continues to grow, and in turn we will continue to invest in our people to realise our ambition.”

As well as these key sales appointments, the business has further strengthened its merchandising and buying scope as Haylea Smith joins the business as merchandising director, with an extensive background in retail merchandising, and David O’Conner moves into the role of product director for customer own brand.
