LSA International’s Canopy collection of glassware – launched last year in collaboration with the Eden Project last – has been recognised with a prestigious Good Design Award in the Tableware category.
Founded in Chicago in 1950, The Good Design Awards are run by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
Addressing sustainability, The Canopy collection is made from recycled glass in recyclable packaging using organic vegetable ink for printing.
The products reflect the concepts of hydration and propagation, including drinkware, terrariums, self- watering planters and vases. The dome-shaped designs echo the form of the Eden Project’s Biomes, and the range name is inspired by the idea that we all live as one community under the same canopy.
The collection’s accolades also include an iF Design Award and the Host Milano Green Award.
