Nadiya teams up with Prestige

Nadiya Hussain and Prestige are thrilled to announce the launch of a new collection of cookware and bakeware products developed in a new collaboration between the tv chef, author, television presenter and Great British Bake Off winner and Meyer Group and described as ‘The Perfect Collection for the Everyday Mealtime Hero.’ Revealed at Exclusively today (August 24) and the ‘Nadiya Loves’ range will launch in stores from March 2022.

Nadiya has been involved at every stage of product development, from ideas and recommendations to design prototypes. Keen from the start to create a range of easy-to-use kitchen equipment with Prestige that represents her own cooking experience and know how, Nadiya gave serious consideration to what elements of her own kitchenware could be improved upon based on what she already uses at home every day.

“I fully understand what it is to be a working parent and busy family cook and through my recipes am a passionate advocate of cooking healthy, delicious meals from around the world,” states Nadiya. “There is also a heightened sense of wellbeing that you get from creating, eating, and sharing good food. Working with Prestige has enabled these priorities to be reflected in the ranges we developed. I am so delighted with the outcome”.

Adam Kavanagh, product director for Prestige reflects: “Combining our home chef research with Nadiya’s own experiences, we identified three design themes as important for these new collections; versatility, space saving and quality you can feel.  This new cookware range will include a specially designed set of four, non-stick space-saving nesting (stackable) pans with just one-fits-all lid to save on cupboard clutter, a stock pot for batch cooking and versatile bakeware to keep cooking quick, easy and simple and, just as important, easy to clean. Working with Nadiya is a joy and she has helped us design products that will appeal to the novice and the more experienced home cook.”

Nadiya is an advocate of batch cooking big, hearty meals for her family to enjoy another day. Hence her family-sized, lightweight, aluminum nesting pan set includes an 18cm saucepan, a 24cm stockpot, a 26cm deep, everyday pan and a 28cm frying pan with gold patterned interiors and matt black exteriors. A pre-seasoned cast iron, oven-to-table 4.5L casserole is designed to be placed in the middle of the table for everyone to dig in.

As a home baker Nadiya was keen to have a range of bakeware that not only performs well but that can also be served from. The range includes non-stick teal exteriors and a black non-stick interior coating for savoury dishes, and a non-stick gold interior for sweet bakes.

Brand manager for Prestige, Sabrina Boukhiba acknowledges: “This partnership is based on shared beliefs and values, putting family at the centre of our cooking and thinking and cooking with simplicity.  Each piece in the collection is representative of the expertise and simplicity that is synonymous with both prestige and the Nadiya Hussain brand.”

Commenting on the collaboration, Nadiya adds: “I am excited to be partnering with a brand that represents everything that I stand for in the kitchen. I love cooking and I love preparing delicious meals for my family, but I also love simplicity. This collection has all the pans you will ever need. They are perfectly weighted, and the premium non-stick coating means cleaning is a breeze.”

* According to a recent survey from YouGov on food attitudes, 73% of brits have enjoyed home cooking over the last 12 months, and even as lockdown lifts, this trend is here to stay, as 91% of the respondents said that they want to cook as much or more over the next 12 months.
