New season’s themes at Top Drawer

With Top Drawer SS19 fast approaching, five strong trends have been identified by the show as the key colours and themes for the coming season.

The trends include Terracotta with its warmth and earthiness, Deep Dive with blues and marine themes, and Neomint, which is a fresh, calming and cool colour with ‘sophistication’.

Colours and shapes from the cosmos are influential with the cosmologically cosmopolitan, ‘lustrous and divine’ Stratosphere theme. Meanwhile, Tactile Treasure reflects an ultra-tactile look” that can include exposed or super-refined finishes. An example of Tactile Treasure is bowls by Ellul Ceramics in the show’s Craft section.

The trends can give visitors extra confidence when making their buying selections, says show organiser Clarion Events.

Top Drawer has also teamed up with interior design blogger Victoria Jackson of Apartment Number 4. Victoria has selected her favourite interior products from the show. These include ceramics by Sue Pryke, tableware from Garden Trading and wooden serving boards from Vincent Trading.

Top Drawer, which takes place at London’s Olympia from January 13-15, 2019, will be showcasing over 1500 lifestyle brands across nine curated sectors, including Home Modern and Home Classic.
