Next acquires stake in Rockett St George

Next has acquired a 16% stake in homeware and lifestyle brand, Rockett St George.

The acquisition follows two collaborations between Next and the brand through a licensing agreement. Following the acquisition, a director from Next will join the Rockett St George board and the investment will enable Next to expand its product range and consumer reach.

Rockett St George offers tableware and serveware, as well as furniture and lighting, as well as womenswear. The investment follows Next’s acquisition of the brand name and IP of Cath Kidston for £8.5m as it continues to expand its brand offering.

Jane Rockett and Lucy St George, co-founders and directors of Rockett St George said: “By combining our passion for product design with Next’s extensive retail presence, this acquisition allows us to merge our unique design approach with their broad reach, offering even more distinctive and expressive items for your home and wardrobe.”
