One Beyond considers 50 ex-Wilko stores

Discount retailer, One Beyond is said to be considering the acquisition of 50 ex-Wilko stores, with final agreements to be reached this week.

The chain has already agreed to take over two sites in Boston and Chelmsford, and is in negotiations for a third location, according to The Grocer.

It has been reported that One Beyond is actively in discussions with landlords who are seeking to re-lease the vacant premises left empty after Wilko went into administration.

One Beyond was established in 2019 and aims to expand by opening an extra 10 stores in 2023, to meet its goal of 150 stores by November 2024.
