Potters expands in-store events

Potters of Hockley has scheduled two customer events, on the back of its successful visit by Hannah Dale of Wrendale last month.

On Saturday 8 July from 10.30am to 3pm, Naseem’s Kitchen will be bringing Indian cooking demonstrations to the Potters shop for customers to watch and enjoy.

Then on Saturday 15 July from 10.30am to 3pm, Nicola Jane Cupcake Bouquets will join the Potters team in the shop kitchen to demonstrate some beautiful ways to decorate cakes. And outside the store, Smoking Bears BBQ will be cooking up a storm alongside a range of stalls to browse.

Tom Carter, company director, commented: “We decided at the beginning of the year to plan more regular events. The main part of this was to include the local community.

“All of our stalls holders are from the village, any one who demos in the kitchen is the same. It brings the community together and also adds the theatre we are looking for in store. So far these have been very successful and helps us increase footfall which in turn with sales.”

The two upcoming events follow a successful in-store appearance from Hannah Dale from Wrendale recently at Potters. Customers were able to meet Hannah and enjoy coffee and cakes, as well as browsing a wide range of stores outside.

Tom continued: “What a day this was. We have held many events over the years and this is up there with the best. The turn out was just incredible, Hannah Dale is a very popular lady. It helps that her products are amazing.

“To be joined by so many great local stall holders, an ice cream van, Brick Lane Bagel and not to mention the amount of teas, coffees and cakes we gave out for free.”
