It is with the greatest sadness that the Woolston family announces that Hilary Woolston, founding partner of The Kitchen Shop, Lichfield, unfortunately lost her battle with cancer at the end of January. Hilary was diagnosed with lung cancer in October 2020.

Hilary and her husband Barry (of 55 years) set up their cookshop in August 1982 and later Lizzy and Vicky, two of their daughters joined them.

Hilary’s family, shop staff and friends in the trade will miss her very much indeed.

A private family funeral will be held on the March 3. Hilary’s family has decided that there will be a memorial and celebration of her life once friends can gather again. In the meantime donations can be received for Cancer Research UK & Walsall Palliative Trust Fund in her memory. Please contact Ian Hazel Funerals Ltd, 23, Anchor Road, Aldridge, West Midlands, WS9 8PT.
