Søstrene Grene announces next London store

Danish homewares and lifestyle retailer, Søstrene Grene, has announced plans to open its next London store  in Uxbridge with the opening date set to be announced very soon.

Set to open later this year in time for the busy Christmas period, Søstrene Grene plans to join the retail offering at The Chimes in Uxbridge. This opening will further expand the brand’s presence in the Greater London area, joining existing stores on Tottenham Court Road, King’s Cross, Wandsworth, Richmond and Kingston-upon-Thames.

With over 300+ stores worldwide and expansion currently underway, Søstrene Grene aims to open 100 stores in the UK by 2030 and reach 500 stores globally by 2027.

The new store will offer a curated selection of affordable, Scandi-inspired designs in a wide variety of homewares, soft furnishings, kitchen products, furniture, gifts, crafts and children’s toys including “mini home” products.

The brand’s shopping concept, ‘Retail for the Senses’ promises a unique sensory experience with its iconic wooden crate, labyrinth-style layout, alongside serene lighting and classical background music.

Mikkel Grene, ceo and co-owner of Søstrene Grene, commented: “We are delighted to bring Søstrene Grene to The Chimes in Uxbridge, a vibrant shopping destination with a fantastic selection of retailers. This new store will offer our signature Scandinavian style and ‘hygge’ experience, and we can’t wait to introduce our unique products to the local community.”

UK joint venture partners, Norma Jacob and Richard Power, who run Søstrene Grene stores across Northern Ireland, Southern England, Scotland and soon to be Wales, are also looking forward to the new store.

Norma Jacob, commented: “We are thrilled to announce the upcoming opening of our Uxbridge location. The Chimes is an excellent choice for our new store, and we’re excited to contribute to the diverse retail landscape of this thriving shopping centre.”

Richard Power added: “This year has been marked by a series of successful store openings across the UK, and we’re thrilled to continue this momentum. The addition of another London location is an obvious choice. Our previous locations in the capital have been extremely successful, and we expect Uxbridge to be no different.”

The opening date of Søstrene Grene, Uxbridge will be announced soon.
