Søstrene Grene supports UK expansion with new European logistics hub

Sostrene Grene will open a new 45,000 square metre distribution centre in the Netherlands to improve delivery efficiency for stores and customers.

Set to open before autumn 2025, the new facility will improve stock availability, reduce delivery times and enhance Sostrene Grene’s sustainability credentials, including a 50% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030.

The new facility is being designed as a pilot for sustainable construction techniques and will feature solar panels, energy efficient systems and recycled materials.

Mikkel Grene, chief executive and co-owner commented: “The UK is one of our most exciting markets, with customers appreciating our unique blend of scandinavian design and affordability.

“We are committed to growing responsibly. By prioritising sustainability in the design and operation of our new distribution centre, we are making meaningful progress towards our carbon reduction targets, while improvnig service for our customers.”
