Take Comfort at Exclusively

One of the key trends forecast for 2023 is Wellness and Comfort, according to leading trend forecaster Scarlet Opus, which will present trend talks and trend tours for buyers at The Exclusively Show (June 14-15 at the Business Design Centre). Scarlet Opus is also curating the hugely popular display of exhibitors’ products, selected to match three key themes.

The Wellness and Comfort theme embodies calm minimalism, incorporating both psychological and physical comfort.  This trend is subtle, but not bland.  Dreamy, soft shapes come together with a palette of light, pastel tones to create a nourishing space that is reminiscent of the 50s and 60s. The colour palette works well for kitchen products, while luxurious textiles such as silk and faux fur around the house contribute to the comfort factor.

Products that reflect the Wellness and Comfort trend will be popular in both the main exhibition and the Brand Showcase – the media-friendly edit of the main show which attracts some 250 press, bloggers and influencers to soak up the trends and reflect them in forthcoming media coverage.

According to Will Jones, chair of Exclusively and chief operating officer of show owner, BHETA, Exclusively’s insights into evolving trends ensures that the show is “a real showcase of the absolute best and most current housewares, gift and small domestic electrical products in the industry. “ He adds: “Which is exactly why the show is such a big draw for the top buyers from all the multiples, garden centres and visitors from many of the nation’s independent stores specialising in cook, dine and gift.”
