Tefal donated over £25,000 to charity in 2023

Following a charitable 2023, kitchenware and SDA manufacturer, Tefal, has pledged its continued support of charities in 2024.

The supplier’s aim is to support local charities where they can focus their efforts and make a difference to people’s lives and its employee volunteer programme, which enables team members to volunteer their time to support their chosen causes.

Last month, Tefal donated £4,620 to the Thames Hospice Corporate Christmas Campaign, which supports families in need. Further to this, £4,000 of proceeds from a recent staff sale was split between Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Wiltshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust and The John Eastwood Hospice.

Tefal also has an ongoing relationship with local charity Windsor Foodshare, a foodbank that provides weekly food donations to households in need in the Berkshire area. The partnership kicked off in January 2023, with Tefal donating over £3,000 towards fresh fruit and veg for the community. £500 of Tefal products were also donated. Tefal employees also organised food collections and volunteered time to organise and distribute donations.

This year, Windsor Homeless Project will be opening a community cafe, which Tefal will support through product donations and volunteering.

Last October, Groupe SEB UK donated £2,000 to Windsor Homeless Project UK’s October sleepout, the team also fundraised essential donations to enable homeless people to rebuild their lives but sleeping out at Windsor & Eton Football Club.

In 2023, the team continued their volunteer work at Camp Mowhawk, a day centre for children with special needs and their families, also donating £6,000 to the cause.

Last year, Tefal also celebrated its 20th anniversary with Jamie Oliver. Alongside the cookware launches, Tefal sponsored the Catering Team Award at the Jamie Oliver Good School Food Awards.

Christophe Leblan, managing director for UK & Ireland at Groupe SEB, commented: “We recognise that this is a challenging time for many people up and down the country, so we want to ensure we are doing something to support communities in the UK.

“Our mission is to ensure we make life happier, healthier and easier, and our donations and volunteering play a role in improving the lives of the local community. We are so proud to support the charities and organisations we work with and the incredible work they do.”
