Tefal sponsors Jamie Oliver’s Good School Food Awards

Tefal presented each of the catering team at Wyre Forest School in Kidderminster with a product bundle to celebrate their victory in the inaugural Jamie Oliver Good School Food Awards last month.

Tefal sponsored the Catering Team of the Year award, and is also celebrating the 20th anniversary of its partnership with the celebrity chef, and gifted the school team with products from its Jamie Oliver by Tefal range, including frying pans, chopping boards and knife sets.

The awards were the creation of Jamie Oliver, the chef and child health campaigner, to celebrate the heroes of school food, and wider food systems in place for children. Almost 2,000 entries were received across eight categories, which were judged by Jamie himself, along with Mary Berry, Alex Jones, Jessica Ennis-Hill and Joe Wicks.

Joe Wickes surprised James Sommerville and his staff at the school in Kidderminster to present the award.

Christophe Leblan, md UK and Ireland at Groupe Seb, said: “When we were invited to be a part of our friend, Jamie Oliver’s, inaugural Good School Food Awards, we simply couldn’t say no to doing our bit to help recognise and reward those unsung heroes.

“We were simply blown away by the work that James and his team at Wyre Forest School do to ensure that every pupil’s needs are met. We hope that the cooking equipment we’ve gifted goes a long way to ensuring those delicious meals continue to be rustled up.”
