The B&LLAs 2019 move venue in protest

The Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards 2019 (B&LLAs) will now take place at London’s Hilton Park Lane, not The Dorchester Hotel as initially planned and previously announced.

The event will go ahead on its original date of Thursday April 25.

The decision was taken last week by the B&LLAs’ organisers, Max Publishing, in protest at the cruel anti-human rights laws that came into force in Brunei.

The Dorchester is among the nine luxury hotels that are owned by the Sultan of Brunei through the country’s sovereign wealth fund, the Brunei Investment Agency.

The finalists for the B&LLAs 2019 include Emma Bridgewater Flasks from Chilly’s Bottles and the Sara Miller London Christmas Collection from Portmeirion, as well as the Nadiya Hussain Make Life Colourful Range from BlissHome, I Like Birds Homewares Range from My Gifts Trade and Yvonne Ellen Tabletop Collection from Fifty One Percent.
