The Cookware Company’s renewed UK focus

Exhibiting at Exclusively this month (August 24-25), The Cookware Company has a new team leadership structure for the UK to deliver an “ambitious growth plan for the UK,” confirms ceo and founder Wim De Veirman. Neil McIntosh has joined as country manager UK and Ireland, while Jason Kirk is the new head of sales for UK and Ireland.

Wim states: “We are determined to inject renewed focus and investment to significantly grow The Cookware Company in the UK. Our vision and commitment are to become a valued partner to our loyal trade customers while building the GreenPan and KitchenAid cookware ranges into brands that UK consumers will both trust and love for many years to come.”

Neil worked for leading brands Cadbury, Ferrero and Twinings before spending 10 years at Le Creuset in senior marketing and ecommerce roles, including UK and EMEA marketing director.

Having previously worked for McCain Foods and Dairy Crest, Jason has 17 years’ extensive experience within Le Creuset from senior UK sales management roles to heading up the international new markets business for Le Creuset Group.

Meanwhile, Marcus Wallen will assume a key role in The Cookware Company UK team, continuing to manage major UK accounts and leading the launch and growth of the company’s core cookware brands in Ireland.

“We are extremely confident that the strategic insight and experience of the new team will bring renewed vigour to The Cookware Company in the UK and Ireland.,” adds Wim. He reflects: “The UK cookware market has always been extremely important to me personally given the size and opportunity and the ongoing trend within the UK to create and cook outstanding food, whether that is by passionate home cooks or expert professional chefs.”
