Overjoyed Gift of the Year (GOTY) Award winners have been celebrating following The Gift Awards last week (May 12). The winner of the Kitchen & Dining category, Halo Dish covers are described as “genuinely unique” by Clayspoon’s co-founder and md Katharine Chapman, who collected the award.
“I was absolutely thrilled to win, and also very surprised because there were some incredible products in our category!” states Katharine. “It was a really tough competition, but it was Halo’s night to shine. I think the fact that we won is testament to a genuinely unique and special product. A reusable cotton dish cover means less single use plastic, which in itself is commendable. I’m honoured to be a part of this wonderful story that has such a positive impact, while looking great on your dining table.”
Meanwhile Sanjay Aggarwal, Spice Kitchen’s chief spice officer, winner of GOTY’s Best Food & Drink Product or Range category enthused: “Winning Gift of the Year again is an amazing achievement for our growing family business.” He continued: “We had the most wonderful evening, surrounded by supporters from other gifting businesses, as well as lot of our retailers. A milestone moment for Spice Kitchen.”
Suffolk-based husband and wife design-duo Alex Sommer and Laura Keller, co-founders of homeware brand Concrete & Wax, were delighted to win the My Gift of All Time category for their stackable, handmade concrete holders and natural wax candles. Concrete & Wax’s Tableware Collection of hand-poured concrete coasters, placemats and table centrepieces reached the final six in the Kitchen & Dining category and was awarded Highly Commended status. “We feel incredibly proud of how far we have come and grateful for the recognition we have received,” commented Alex and Laura.
