Tube strikes called off ahead of Excellence in Housewares Awards

Planned strikes on the London Underground on Wednesday 4 October – the day of the Excellence in Housewares Awards – have been cancelled.

Housewaresnews.net and Progressive Housewares understand from reports in the mainstream media, that the planned strikes on the London Underground for tomorrow (Wednesday 4 October, 2023) have been called off. The news will be welcome to those attending the Excellence in Housewares Awards at The Royal Lancaster.

Rob Willis, coo and co-owner of Max Publishing, organiser of the Excellence in Housewares Awards, commented: “The cancellation of the tube strikes tomorrow will hopefully make our guests journeys to the awards much easier. Despite the potential disruption of the planned strikes, the event is still incredibly well attended and we look forward to seeing everyone to celebrate tomorrow.”
