With its non-pointed tipped range of knives scooping The Cutting Edge Award, Kate O’Neil, marketing director for The Rayware Group comments: “On behalf of the entire team at Rayware, we would like to thank the team at Max Publishing for their hard work in bringing this awards together. We are extremely honoured to be receiving such an important award in the Cutting Edge category for our Viners Assure Collection.

“We are grateful for the recognition we have received for our work in producing a collection of new and innovative knives that places safety and functionality at the forefront. We will continue to expand the range in our efforts to help reduce unnecessary accidents in and around the home.”

Bryony Dwyer, managing director of Dexam describes her reaction on hearing her company’s name as winner of Excellence in Service after BHETA housewares sector manager Seema Grantham opened the golden envelope:

“I was so excited when Seema made the announcement – I’m sure my neighbours heard the cheering and celebrations! It is always fantastic to win an award but it is the ‘Excellence in Service’ that the whole team cherish. It truly is the recognition of the hard work and dedication of the entire amazing Dexam team from making sure we have the right stock at the right time to the last bit of tape going on the box and a booking made with the customer, not to forget the cheery voice at the end of the phone in Customer Services.

“This year, of all years, I have been humbled by the flexibility, conscientiousness and determination of everyone and I was delighted to accept this award on their behalf.”

PrintCelebrating two awards, including the inaugural Licensing Award, Philippa Howarth, sales controller at Le Creuset comments: “Le Creuset are absolutely thrilled and honoured to have won both the Excellence in Marketing Award and the Licensing Award this year. Positive recognition from our retailers and buyers is of great importance to us, and we are very really proud to have won these two awards. Wishing all of the finalists and the winners, our congratulations too!”

The ‘green’ crown went to JWP (part of Meyer UK), with Clare Holland, brand manager at Meyer commenting on behalf of Lock n Lock: “It is fantastic news that Lock n Lock Eco Oven glass has won the Eco Award at this year’s Excellence in Housewares Awards. This year more than ever people have needed nature and have recognised the importance of our planet and sustainability.

“JWP is delighted that they have eco ranges in their portfolio like this award winning oven glass which is made from recyclable glass and provides an all round sustainable and stylish storage solution. We are proud of our achievements but would also like to send our best wishes to all the other winners in what has been an extremely challenging year for everyone.”
