Afina from Villeroy & Boch has wowed judges at this year’s German Design Award and been chosen as the winner in the Excellent Product Design category.
The collection, developed in partnership with the famous German designer, Christian Haas, won over an international jury in the face of top-class competition, with this award providing proof of its outstanding design.
Its timeless simple elegance makes Afina ideal for special occasions, as well as for everyday luxury. The raised rim creates a silhouette that shows the modern coupe shape in a new light. The porcelain is endowed with a floating appearance by clever positioning of the base. The delicate, concentric relief is inspired by rays of sunshine and is striking on the white premium porcelain. The harmonious combination of all three elements gives Afina a subtle elegance, which makes the collection unique.
The characteristic relief of concentric rays also appears on the range’s new glasses. The lower part of the goblet of the elegant crystal glass glasses has been engraved with a delicate, matt-shimmering linear pattern. They are the ideal companion for a timelessly elegant interior, which impresses with its subtle and refined details.
