VonHaus reveals on-trend housewares

VonHaus, the online own brand kitchen and home retailer based in Manchester, has revealed a list of ‘must have’ interior products that consumers, having analysed keyword searches over the past year. The retailer expects the popular housewares to be in high demand over 2022.

According to search trends (utilising Keywordtool.io), the popcorn maker is the top ‘must-have’ interior product, with an increase of +586% searches in the twelve months up to December 2021. Searches for air fryers increased by +200%, while the toasted sandwich maker was up by 150% and the waffle maker saw an increase of 120% in searches.

Tabletop products in VonHaus’ top ten include gin and juice glasses, with searches up +300%, and ‘Pornstar martini cocktail set’, up +200%.

VonHaus notes that ‘consumers have rediscovered their love for cooking over the last year and cooking gadgets were a firm favourite over the last 12 months when evaluating the UK’s online searches’. Considering popular SDAs, the retailer also acknowledges that ‘Brit’s are partial to items that treat their sweet tooth, or gadgets that are perfect for easy-to-make snacks’.

The home goods top ten also featured the outside firepit, with searches up by +150%, demonstrating how consumers’ living space has extended into the garden.
