West End Labour and Wait

Some 21 years after opening its first shop in East London, lifestyle retailer Labour and Wait is opening its second London shop in Marylebone on Thursday (June 3). The new store features much loved classics, including tableware, food storage, stovetop kettles and washing up brushes, some of which have been stocked from the very start.

Founders Simon Watkins and Rachel Wythe-Moran believe that customers need physical shops, despite consumers’ migration to online shopping: “When we founded the company we were frustrated with the growing impersonal nature of retail, so we aimed to offer a friendly environment that was relevant to the neighbourhood. We’re looking forward to bringing our functional, timeless products to Marylebone.”
