Widdop raises a fruity glass

Widdop has acquired a worldwide exclusive license to Gift of The Year’s Highly Commended Contemporary Gift finalist, Ice & Slice, patented by Nobilé Glassware.

The innovative new concept features oversized 690ml balloon Copa style gin or vodka glasses with ultra-realistic resin fruit moulded into the bowl. The range consists of lemon designs, plus lime, orange, strawberry, cherry, watermelon and ice cube designs which are in the pipeline for launch this year, along with other glassware shapes.

Widdop’s product development director Stephen Illingworth welcomed the “fresh new concept” which is perfectly timed for the summer, stating: ‘We’re delighted to add Ice & Slice to our portfolio. The product is so unique and the design is executed to such a high standard; we know our customers, and theirs in turn, will love it.”

The Ice & Slice glasses – which will be gift-boxed and accompanied by cocktail recipes – will be part of Widdop’s Hestia luxury homewares brand.

Top: Ice & Slice were highly commended in the GOTY awards and are now from Widdop.
