Wilko, has announced its return to West London, with plans to open a new store in Uxbridge this autumn.
Spanning approximately 30,000 square feet, the Uxbridge store will be the brand’s seventh store opening since the business was acquired by CDS Superstores and is its first in the capital since its initial relaunch.
The store will be situated in its former trading location at The Pavillions Shopping Centre and the final date for its reopening will be announced shortly.
As with its six concept stores launched to date, in Exeter, Luton, Plymouth, Poole, Rotherham and St Albans, the new Uxbridge store will offer value items across cleaning, decorating and DIY, health and beauty, home and gardening and more. It will also feature additional services, including a Click and Collect offering, so that local shoppers can pick-up web orders from wilko.com, which boasts over 100,000 items for sale.
The Uxbridge store launch forms part of Wilko’s ambitious expansion plans, which aim to see the brand return to hundreds of high street locations across the UK and for the first time, Northern Ireland, over the next five years.
Ceo of CDS Superstores, trading as The Range and Wilko, Alex Simpkin said: “Our expansion is about bringing Wilko back to the heart of communities, providing quality and value in every corner of the UK.
“We’ve had a great reception from customers in our six locations to date, and from wilko.com shoppers, and we’re thrilled to announce our reopening in Uxbridge, which also marks our return to Greater London too.”
