Hannah Dale, the founder and creative director of Wrendale Designs has won a prestigious NatWest everywoman Award in recognition of her inspirational entrepreneurial talents. With Hannah’s much-loved artwork, Wrendale is a bestselling brand for many cookshops and housewares stockists.
At the NatWest everywoman Awards ceremony, which took place this week (December 7) at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Hannah was delighted to receive the Athena Award, given to the most inspirational woman running a business that has been trading from six to nine years.
Hannah was one of 19 inspirational women, selected from several thousand nominees, to receive an award. The Athena Award finalists included Nicola Lucy Lando, ceo of Sous Chef (Speciality Cooking Supplies).
Hannah started Wrendale Designs nine years ago as a greeting card company based on her own watercolour painting of the natural world. The company has grown into and international brand with an £8 million annual turnover. Besides its own product portfolio, Wrendale has grown through licensing: in particular, Royal Worcester tableware and textiles from Portmeirion Group.
