Your invitation to Chicago’s gia Awards livesteam

UK housewares retailers and suppliers are part of the excitement in Chicago this weekend. The Inspired Home Show opens its doors (Saturday March 5 to Monday March 7, Chicago’s McCormick Place) unveiling a myriad of new launches (including over 300 new exhibitors) and welcoming the world once again with its usual panache.

PrintTomorrow is also the date for the gia Awards night in Chicago, and now everyone in the UK housewares community is invited to enjoy the event virtually.

“Join us for an evening of excellence celebrating the gia Global Innovation Awards winners of 2020-2022,” says Derek Miller, president and ceo of The IHA (organiser of The Inspired Home Show and international sponsor for gia). “Winners from around the world are introduced, with announcements of the 2022 gia Retail Excellence and gia Product Design Global Honorees in a livestreamed gala in Chicago on Saturday, March 5.”

The event commences just after 7pm CST, which is 1am in the UK.

Jarrold of Norwich is among over 30 outstanding housewares retailers whose achievements will be applauded at gia Awards night.  The Global Honorees for gia retail and product design will also be revealed, along with the retailers that win the 2022 Martin M Pegler Award for Visual Merchandising and the gia Digital Commerce Award.

Encouraged by its recognition as a world leader in housewares retailing, Jarrold has now commenced a major redevelopment of its cookshop and ground floor, which, reveals cookshop and deli manager Chris Parsons, will further elevate “the look, feel and experience of the whole department.”

Having retained the UK gia title since The Excellence in Housewares Awards 2019, Chris says to UK gia sponsor Progressive Housewares: “This award has helped us secure this development so I would like to thank yourselves and everyone who’s worked with our nomination and at gia.”
